Closest point to drive and park is on unsealed roads only that are not may not be passable when wet, from there it is via the water to this the campsite GPS: -28.52166, 152.74796 The campground is at the end of Murray Scrub Road, on Iron Pot Creek, which can be found off Toonumbar Forest Drive.
You can park a caravan, trailer, or a tent in this campground The campsite has large area and is set among gum trees. Fire wood collection is not permitted, so if you want a campfire, you will need to bring fire wood.

Closed parks: National park closed due to damage caused by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred
For safety, Toonumbar National Park is closed until Monday 5 May due to damage caused by Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred. The park will be opened once inspections, and any necessary works, are completed.
Penalties apply for non-compliance.

Closed areas: Toonumbar Forest Drive & Coxs Road Closure
Toonumbar Forest Drive and Coxs Road are closed until winter 2025. Estimated re-opening date is June following completion of maintenance works.
Both roads are not safely trafficable in wet conditions and are therefore seasonally closed from late spring until late autumn dependant on rainfall during the wet season. There may also be additional closures during forecast weather events and damage during the winter period.
This closure will affect the following areas:

Murray Scrub Lookout
Sherwood Lookout

Iron Pot Creek Campground and Murray Scrub Walking track can be accessed via Murray Scrub Road.
