Halls Peak campground and picnic area is closed due to wet weather and resulting hazardous road conditions.
Closure is in effect from Friday 27th September 2024 until Thursday 3rd October 2024.

The following areas at Tia Falls are closed from Monday 19 August to 14:00 Friday 4 October 2024 due to walking track maintenance work:

The campground and day use areas including Tiara walk remain open.

The Blue Hole Picnic Area at Gara is closed from 7:00am on Monday 23 September to 8:00am on Wednesday 2 October 2024 to improve disability access.
The Threlfall walking track will remain open.

Other planned events: Notice of 1080 Aerial Baiting Program
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) is conducting an ongoing aerial baiting program from Monday 16 September 2024 to Monday 30 September 2024. The operation will use 1080 (sodium fluoroacetate) poison for the control of wild dogs.
The program will take place in The Basin Nature Reserve, Booralong Nature Reserve, Bulagaranda Aboriginal Area, Cottan-Bimbang National Park, Curracubundi National Park, Indwarra National Park, Mummel Gulf National Park and Mummel Gulf State Conservation Area, Nowendoc National Park, Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, Tomallo Nature Reserve,Tuggolo Creek Nature Reserve and Werrikimbe National Park.
The program is designed to minimise predator impacts on wildlife, especially threatened species, and to minimise the impact of wild dogs on neighbouring stock.
Signs will be placed at the entry to the baiting location. Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW National Parks managed lands. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.

Other planned events: Coachwood Road closed for remediation works
Coachwood Road between Kookaburra and Racecourse Trail is closed until further notice for remediation works following damage from recent weather events.
Please consider alternative roads, such as Hastings Forest Way and Kangaroo Flat Road during this time. Access to Carrai and Werrikimbe national parks remain open from Carrai Road and Racecourse Trail.
