Wombeyan Caves campground
This excellent campsite has great facilities including communal kitchen (BBQ, oven, fridge, microwave), large dining room (with power and fire place), toilets, showers, tap water and a kiosk. There are places for tents, caravans and trailer tents. There is a dormitory for groups and cabins for families see NPWS Website. There is plenty to do in the area, the caves being a lovely highlight with guided and self-guided caves. There are walks to the canyon and a waterfall. Down towards the caves, there is a tennis court, large open area and a children’s slide. Plenty of room and plenty stuff to entertain the whole family. Wombeyan Caves Road between Mittagong and Wombeyan Caves remains closed due to extensive storm damage. Visitors are advised to travel to the caves via Goulburn and Taralga, or via Oberon from the north.

Fire bans: Kanangra Reserves
A park fire ban is in place in this park and remains in effect unless otherwise extended or removed.
However Wombeyan Caves campground in Wombeyan Karst Conservation Reserve is exempt.
During park fire ban periods, all campfire and solid fuel (wood, heat beads, charcoal, briquettes, hexamine) barbecues and stoves are prohibited. Gas and electric barbecues and cookers are permitted as long as:
- They’re under direct control of an adult
- The ground within 2m of the barbecue is cleared of all flammable materials
- There’s an adequate supply of water (minimum of a bucket)
