Moores Creek Reserve

Moores Creek Reserve is a large bushland reserve owned and managed by Ku-ring-gai council. The reserve is bound by Middle Harbour, Garigal National Park, Moore Creek, Chase Ave and Carlye Rd. The area has a number of well managed walking tracks. The reserve is home to several small but nice water falls and several sandstone caves.

Amarna Reserve

Amarna Reserve is a pocket of natural bushland owned and managed by Ku-ring-gai Council. The reserve is bound by Luxor Pde, Roseville Ave, Amarna Pde and the golf course. The reserve has Moores Creek as a center piece running its full length as well as a wonderful stand of Sydney red gums. The reserve is cared for by the "Moores Creek Bushcare Group".

Garigal National Park

Largely following Middle Harbour Creek and stretching from Seaforth in the south to St Ives in the north Garigal National Park is hidden through Sydney's Northern suburbs. Despite how close it is to large urban centres Garigal is quite beautiful with lots of different walking and cycling tracks. For those just wishing to picnic Davidson Reserve is a great spot just next to Middle Harbour Creek, under the Roseville Bridge.

Closed areas: Cascades, Bare Creek and Heath Trails partially closed
Cascades, Bare Creek and Heath Fire Trails will be partially closed on weekdays from Thursday 14 November to Monday 25 November inclusive for trail maintenance works.
Please follow contractor signage. 
The trails will remain open on weekends.

Other planned events: ‘1080 pest management’
NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program is continuous and ongoing between 1 August 2024 and 31 January 2025 in Garigal National Park. Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
 
All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
Fox baiting in these reserves is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.

Closed areas: Flat Rock track partial closure
The section of Flat Rock track from the Killarney Drive entrance to the Downpatrick Street entrance, is permanently closed as the old track passes through private property near Killarney Point.
