Wyrrabalong National Park
Wyrrabalong National park on the NSW Central Coast is divided into two main sections. The northern section sits between the South Pacific Ocean and Tuggerah Lake (with the Central Coast Hwy cutting up the middle) south of Norah Head. The south section covers a coastal strip from Forresters Beach to Bateau Bay. The park is rich with great views, sandy beaches and the last significant coastal rainforest in the area. A great place for walking, swimming, fishing and relaxing.

Closed areas: Red Gum & Lilly Pilly Walking Track Carpark closedThe Red Gum & Lilly Pilly Walking Track Carpark is closed for works from 6:00am to 1:00pm Monday 16 December 2024. Signs will be in place around closed area. You can still access Wyrrabalong National Park via Wetlands Trail and both Lilly Pilly Loop Trail entry points.
Closed areas: Areas closed for repairsSome parts of this park are closed from Monday 16 December to Wednesday 18 December 2024 while repairs on infrastructure are being conducted. The closed areas are:
- Parts of Bateau Bay Beach Picnic Area between Wonga Point Walking Trail and Bateau Bay Beach Middle Access
- Bateau Bay Beach Northern Access
Signs will be in place around closed areas. You can still access Bateau Bay Beach via Middle Access and the main access at Bateau Bay Beach Lookout.

Closed areas: Wyrrabalong National Park closure for fox control shooting operationParts of Wyrrabalong National Park will be closed within a date range of 0630 (6:30am) Monday 14th October 2024 to 2300pm Friday 20th December 2024 for fox control shoot operations preventing localised economic impacts and protecting biodiversity assets within the park.
When active the shoot operation area will be delignated by signage advising visitors “do not enter” at any time during the night-time operation.
