A popular camping post due to the wildflowers in spring, and the Aboriginal and other historic sites. There is a waterfall that is spectacular after rain.

This campsite is near the Apsley Gorge rim walk and the Oxley walk

Walking tracks from here explore the Wollomombi Gorge and Chandler River, as well as great lookouts and waterfalls (after rain).

You can walk to the Tia Falls (quite spectacular after rain or during flood) and a few other walking tracks.

You can visit Youdales Hut and enjoy the swimming, and walks in the area.

You will need a permit and key from Walcha NPWS. The campsite is within the Macleay Gorge Wilderness Area, and it’s remoteness has helped protect it’s beauty. Plenty of water activities and strolling can be enjoyed in the area.

The campsite is located in a small clearing and gives access to some of the great short and long walks in the area that explore the Ravines.

The campsite is on the edge of the tablelands. The short walk to the lookout gives great views beyond the Apsley River, and there is also a walking track down to the river.
